This came over the transom a few minutes ago from the Young Kim for Supervisor campaign:
Dear Friend and Supporter:
While the November result was disappointing for AD65, please accept my sincere appreciation for your support during the last election cycle. I will always be grateful for your friendship, wise counsel, vote of confidence, and encouragement.
I am reminded of the quote, “when one door closes, another one opens.”
As you have likely already heard, I have decided to run for Orange County Supervisor (4th District) when this seat becomes available after Shawn Nelson is termed out next year. The election is in June 2018. Since this is a nonpartisan office, any candidate who receives over 50% of the vote can win and avoid the Run-off November election. This is why I am starting early to show my strong base of support and financial strength.
I am honored to have received very enthusiastic and strong endorsements already from prominent local elected officials such as Rep. Ed Royce, Rep. Mimi Walters, Board of Equalization Vice Chairwoman Diane Harkey, Asm. Philllip Chen, Sheriff Sandra Hutchens, District Attorney Tony Rackauckas, OC Supervisor Chairwoman Michelle Steel, Vice Chairman Andrew Do, and a host of other state, county and city elected officials.
I am delighted to inform you that Rep. Ed Royce and Supervisor Michelle Steel will be Featured Guests at my Kickoff Fundraising Reception on March 31st. Are you available to join us?
