(Irvine)- In a clear sign that area policy makers are coalescing around Mission Viejo Mayor Frank Ury’s campaign for Municipal Water District of Orange County Board of Directors, Irvine Mayor Steven Choi, Irvine City Council Member Christine Shea, and Irvine Planning Commissioner Anthony Kuo announced their support for Mayor Ury.
“I’ve known and worked with Mayor Ury for years. The same common sense approach and proven track record of water management that Frank took in Mission Viejo will be an important and greatly needed addition to the MWDOC Board of Directors,” Mayor Choi said. “Orange County needs a fresh perspective on the board and I know Frank Ury is just the person to do that.”
“I’m honored to have received the endorsement of Mayor Choi, Council Member Shea, and Planning Commissioner Kuo. Their leadership is a major factor in the continued success of Irvine,” Ury said. “I look forward to working with them, and drawing upon their knowledge base.”
Frank is a long time Orange County resident, and Mission Viejo Councilman. First elected in 2004, Frank is currently serving his third term as Mayor.
