This morning the Orange County Register editorial board is recommending former state Senator Lou Correa as the better choice to replace incumbent Lorreta Sanchez in the U.S. Congress.
Here is part of the editorial:
As Loretta Sanchez looks to vacate her seat in the House of Representatives and move to the U.S. Senate, two Democrats, Lou Correa and Bao Nguyen, are vying to replace her in the 46th Congressional District.
We recommend Correa for possessing the necessary experience that will allow him to hit the ground running.
Correa, a former state legislator, is a business-friendly Democrat who offers more moderate views on many of the big issues. That is something that will serve him well in Congress, where working across the aisle is a greater requirement than in the Democrat-dominated statehouse.
